Student Teaching & Practicum Placements

Student teachers, interns, and practicum students are an important part of Central School District. Placements and field experiences are coordinated through formal agreements between the District and participating colleges or universities.

Before a student teacher, intern, or practicum student may be placed in a District school, a current agreement with the sponsoring institution must be on file within the Central District Office. Central School District currently partners with Western Oregon University, Oregon State University, and Willamette University. Colleges or universities interested in establishing a placement agreement may contact the District at info@central.k12.or.us.

University supervisors who need to observe a student teacher or practicum student should contact the assigned school directly to coordinate an appropriate observation time and review visitor check-in procedures.
